The Panhellenic community prides itself on achieving a grade point average higher than the All University and the All Women’s Average’s at USC. We value academic excellence, and our women continue to pursue a wide range of disciplines using support systems within their chapters to succeed. Each chapter has specific resources in place to ensure their members’ academic success, including mandatory study hours, faculty advisors, and programming tailored to helping them achieve their full potential, both in college, and later in their professional lives. Panhellenic continues to offer resources to Greek women through networking events, leadership panels, and scholarships.
Every semester, each chapter hosts a banquet to honor their members’ scholastic achievements. Women typically invite distinguished professors, faculty, and/or speakers to share a meal in the chapter house. The evening usually features speeches and the distribution of awards for academic excellence. These events are a wonderful reward for a semester of hard work and provide valuable networking opportunities.
Each year, Panhellenic offers a number of scholarships to both new and active sorority members. In the spring, Panhellenic offers the New Member Scholarship and the Active Member Scholarship, providing $500 each to a new member and active member from each chapter to assist with their dues. The Greek Awards, held in the spring, offer recognition and scholarships to active Panhellenic women who demonstrate exemplary achievement.
Many of our chapters offer specific scholarships to their members as well. Each chapter’s VP Scholarship has more information about scholarships that may be available to you. Additionally, most sorority’s national or international organizations offer scholarships that members can apply for. Please contact your Scholarship Chair or national headquarters for more information about chapter specific scholarships.
