ALPHA CHI OMEGA

About Alpha Chi Omega

Welcome to the Epsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Omega! Established in 1895, Alpha Chi Omega has been a second home to women for over 120 years. Here at Alpha Chi, we place an emphasis on academic interest, character, financial responsibility, leadership ability, and personal development. This chapter has helped us find our mentors, friends, and most importantly, our sisters for life.

Philanthropy

Alpha Chi Omega’s history is rooted in generosity, compassion, and commitment to sisters of the chapter and the greater good. The 1992 Alpha Chi Omega National Convention marked the adoption of domestic violence awareness, an issue that affects women all over the world, as the sorority’s national philanthropy. In addition to supporting the philanthropic causes of fellow Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council organizations, members of AXO serve individuals and families impacted by domestic violence through annual fundraising events like Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi, DVA Donut Tables and Alpha Chi All American, a flag football tournament between IFC, Panhellenic, and other USC organizations. The chapter also shares gifts of time and talent with The Good Shepherd Shelter, a local home for women and children who have endured domestic violence. Alpha Chi Omega also hosts a Candlelight Vigil every fall semester at Tommy Trojan to educate its own members and the USC community on the prevalence of DVA, its impact and the work being done to end the social epidemic. Ultimately, Alpha Chi aims to give others tools to build their own healthy relationship and to raise awareness of domestic violence.
