| A: | If you choose to send letters of recommendation, they should be mailed directly to the chapters themselves, care of the chapter's VP Membership or VP Recruitment. Letters of Recommendation should be received no later than August 10, 2009.

| Q: | When will Formal Recruitment 2009 take place? |
| A: | The Recruitment Orientation for Potential New Members (PNMs) is on August 25, 2009 from 8 to 10 p.m.
Conversation Days or Unity Days 1 and 2 are Wednesday, August 26 from 4:30 to 9:55 p.m. and Thursday, August 27 from 2 to 8:10 p.m.
House Tours Day or Spirit Day is Friday, August 28 from 12:00 to 7:40 p.m.
Slideshow Day or Pride Day is Saturday, August 29 from 11 a.m. to 6:10 p.m.
Preference is Sunday, August 30 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Bid Card Signing is from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Bid Night is from 8 to 11 p.m.

| Q: | How much time does being in a sorority take? |
| A: | During your new member period, you can expect to commit about 5 hours a week to your chapter. Weekly events include: Monday Night Dinner, chapter meetings, and new member education sessions.
Social events and sisterhood activities are rarely mandatory and can be enjoyed when they fit into your schedule. |

| Q: | Do I need letters of recommendation to join a USC sorority? |
| A: | Recommendation letters are neither a necessity nor an assurance of membership in any sorority.
However, some chapters may appreciate receiving letters of recommendation from alumna about women who will be participating in recruitment.
Chapters prefer to receive letters of recommendation by August 10, 2009. |
